WhiteBrooks

WhiteBrooks

There was nothing so very remarkable in the Rabbits escape; nor did Brooks think it so very much out of the way to hear the Rabbits say to themselves, `Oh dear! Oh dear! We shall escape her!' (when she thought it over afterwards, it occurred to her that she ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seemed quite natural); but when the Rabbits actually took the watches out of all the little waistcoat-pocketses, and looked at them so crossly, and then hurried away, Brooks started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen such whiterabbits with either full waistcoat-pocketses, or watches to take out of them, and burning with curiosity, she ran across the yarded field after them, and fortunately was just in time to see all of them pop down a large rabbit-hole under the hedges. Where WhiteBrooks followed them to Heaven.
